In weekly art lessons for kids, artists ages 7-12 are encouraged to create, explore, and learn about art!
Through sketchbook activities and portfolio projects, students are introduced to fundamental art concepts and techniques while experimenting with various artistic mediums such as acrylics, watercolour, clay, oil pastels, markers, colour and graphite pencils. They also explore the works of prominent artists, broadening their inspirations and developing their own unique artistic styles.
Pre-registration is required, weekly / monthly / semesterly registration is available! For more information about the art program or to register, please check the lesson slots and review the registration policies listed below.
Pet-Friendly Home
Art lessons take place in my pet-friendly home in the East End of St. John’s, NL. I have one cat, who may make an occasional appearance; however, she will remain in another room during lesson time.
Art activities may involve the use of various materials and tools (such as glue, scissors, paints, and other supplies). While all reasonable safety precautions are taken, by registering for and participating in lessons, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with these activities.
All lesson fees are non-refundable. Missed lessons will not be refunded or discounted. If a class must be cancelled due to weather, illness, or other circumstances beyond control, the lesson will be rescheduled.
During severe weather events, I follow closure decisions made by local schools and transit authorities.
Students are asked stay home if they have a fever or had any contagious symptoms within the past 72 hours.
Email (artwithjailen@gmail.com) is the primary method of communication for updates. Please check regularly for class notices.
